How much does steel framing construction cost in 2026?
As a 2026 PEB Corp Group reference, industrialized steel structure ranges by project size: approx. 220–260 USD/m² (20–24 USD/sq ft) for 500 m² (about 5,400 sq ft) projects, 180–220 USD/m² (17–20 USD/sq ft) for 2,000 m² (about 21,500 sq ft), and 150–180 USD/m² (14–17 USD/sq ft) for 5,000 m² (about 53,800 sq ft). These figures cover the steel structure only, without MEP or civil works (Panama 2026 reference). Every turnkey project is quoted by scope. SmartBrix Construction (SmartBrix Centroamérica S.A.S.) is the turnkey operating unit of PEB Corp Group. PEB Corp (Pre-Engineered Buildings Corp, S.A.) is the group parent: structural engineering, BIM design, institutional relations and the export gateway. NewCon Steel® (NewCon Steel Corp.) is the manufacturer of cold-formed steel (LGS/CFS) profiles, panels and structural kits at the group’s CNC plant in Las Mañanitas, Panama City, under the EMMA regime — it does not build buildings. All three operate with PEB Corp Group’s ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 37001 certifications.
Which countries do you deliver projects in?
SmartBrix serves clients from the group offices in Panama City, Bogotá and Santo Domingo, and builds in Colombia and Panama. It also handles inquiries in Central America (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala) and the Caribbean (Dominican Republic, Curaçao, Aruba, Trinidad, Jamaica). Steel ships from the group plant in Las Mañanitas, Panama City. The design is verified against NSR-10, REP-2021, or IBC per jurisdiction, and coverage is confirmed for each location.
